CHECK IN, CHECK OUT & OUT OF HOURS ACCESS

Check-in is between 1400 & 2300. Between 1400 and 1700 there will usually be someone on reception, after 1700 check-in is arranged by bar staff. Check-in outside of these times needs to by prior arrangement.

Check-out time is 1100, luggage can be left on the premises for the remainder of the day but we will not be responsible for items left for longer.

The café / bar and hostel have separate entrances. The hostel entrance door through the bar/cafe will be closed at around 2000 and access is then gained with a keycode given upon check-in. Access is therefore 24 hrs, but we ask guests to be courteous and quiet when arriving back late, disruptive guests will be asked to leave and no refund will be offered.

BANK HOLIDAYS

We require a 2 night minimum stay for all rooms when the arrival date falls over a bank holiday. At all other times there is no minimum stay.

PRIVATE FUNCTIONS AND EXCLUSIVE USE

Exclusive use of all our facilities can be arranged. Please contact the hostel team for more information. We can accommodate up to 30 adults and provide bar and catering services.

LOST AND STOLEN ITEMS

Ty Glyndwr accepts no responsibility or items lost, damaged or stolen while using our facilities. Valuable items should be left in the hostel safe.

DOGS

Dogs are welcome in private rooms. They will not be allowed in dormitory accomodation that has not been booked for sole use.

There is a charge of £10 per dog per night. Please contact the hostel if you wish to bring your dog to stay.


PAYMENT POLICY

Credit card information or paypal advance payment is required at the time of booking. Credit card information is held on our secure server. No payment will
be processed prior to check-in unless a booking is cancelled within the ‘no refund’ period or guests do not arrive without explanation. In the event of a
‘no show’ the booking will be charged subject to the terms below. Please note that the cancellation policy is different for advance and last minute bookings.


BOOKING CANCELLATION POLICY

Individuals and families:

All rooms have the same cancellation policy.

Advance bookings: Any cancellation made within 3 days will require full payment for Fridays and Saturdays (inc Sun on Bank holiday weekends). The first night of any reservation will be charged if staying between Sunday and Thursday inclusive (accept bank holidays), in addition to Friday and Sat if the booking includes these. Guests who fail to arrive without notice are subject to the same terms.

Last minute booking (within 3 days of arrival): Any bookings made within 3 days of arrival are subject to the same cancellation terms as advance booking, in the
event of a ‘no show’ for last minute bookings the full period of the stay will be charged.

It is not possible to move or amend the date of a booking after 7 days prior to arrival. Any guest wishing to change a date less than 7 days prior to the original arrival date is subject to our usual cancellation terms. They will be required to complete a new booking and pay the balance of the cancelled booking (if applicable) subject to the above terms.

Exclusive use and private hire (large group bookings):

A non-refundable deposit of 25% will be required at the time of booking. The balance will be payable no later than 30 days prior to arrival date. Failure to make complete payment at this time will result in the booking being cancelled. If the booking is cancelled from time of payment in full up to 7 days prior to arrival 50% will be refunded, minus credit card charges. Cancellation less than 7 days prior will receive no refund.
