Housed in a Grade II listed Victorian building and refurbished extensively in 2017 our hostel provides dorm and private accommodation for individuals groups and families.

We are located at the very heart of the town, just 50m from the UNESCO designated Caernarfon Castle and less than a minute on foot to the Menai Strait.

Spiral up the staircase to your room and you’ll find sunlight and sea air breezing in through beautiful sash windows. Each room has its own charm, with quirky and original handmade features for you to discover.

Our bespoke bunk beds have been specially handcrafted from reclaimed wood with a good night’s sleep in mind.

We have 3x 8 bed dorms, a private room and a family unit. The accommodation is spread over 3 floors with toilet / washroom / shower facilities on each floor.

A help-yourself breakfast accompanied by locally roasted filter coffee is provided for our residents each morning, if you prefer espresso based coffee these can be purchased throughout the day. We do not have self-catering facilities, however, Caernarfon offers a wide range of eating options from budget take-away to award winning restaurants. Our coffee / cake shop is open throughout the day and we don’t mind our residents bringing take-away back to eat in the cafe area.

Dogs are welcome in the cafe and can be accomodated in some hostel rooms with a small fee, please contact us if you wish to add a dog to your reservation.

Our friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable staff are always on hand for tourist information and recommendations. Wifi is free for residents.

OUR ACCOMMODATION

We have a total of 5 rooms. 3 x 8 bed dorms with shared facilities. A private room with a single bunk which sleeps 2 with the option of adding a cot bed for a young child or infant (shared facilities). A family unit with a large double bed and single and double sofa beds which accommodates a maximum of 6 (ensuite shower room and WC). Please read the room information and booking and cancellation terms carefully.

Dorms: Our 3 dorms are all mixed, shared rooms with shared facilities. 10% discount is applied to booking for 7 nights or more. A minimum age of 14 years applies to standard dorm bookings when accompanied by another guest who is over 25. There is no minimum age for private occupancy.

Dorm rooms can be booked for exclusive / sole use / private occupancy. Every bed must be paid for regardless of room occupancy. To book an entire 8 bed dorm online select 8 beds (please check your confirmation email for date and guest numbers) then send us an email or call to explain that you want a whole dorm to yourselves, this is usually no problem, but please check with hostel staff at the time of making the reservation. At some low season periods discounts may apply, contact us with your dates for availablity and adjusted rates (if applicable).

Private Twin (bunk room): This room can be booked for up to 2 adults and a child in a cot bed. 10% discount will be applied to bookings of 7 nights or more.

Family Unit: Our family unit is exclusively for the use of family groups. It can accommodate 6, however, we will only allow groups of both children and adults with a maximum of 2 adults and 4 kids. The family unit has a kettle, microwave, crockery and utensils. The addition of a cot bed can be arranged. 10% discount will be applied to bookings of 7 nights or more.

If you are looking for accommodation for a family or large group please contact hostel staff for further information on rates and availability. We do offer packages that allow exclusive use of the whole premises and some private bar use at certain periods of the year.

Included in the price

A buffet style continental breakfast is available between 08:00 and 10:30 with a choice of bread/ toast, pastries, yoghurt, cereals, granola, fruit & porridge. Breakfast includes locally roasted filter coffee or tea from our cafe where additional items can be purchased. If you have any allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements please speak to the hostel team prior to your arrival.

Shared bathroom facilities are located on each floor and shared between a maximum of 2 rooms.

All bed linen, duvets and pillows are provided. Towels can be hired on request.

Making a booking

Payment is required at the time of booking. Please read our Cancellation Policy prior to confirming your booking.
